recent projects - the latest and greatest

It's Superbowl Sunday and after quick check here, realized that I have been severely remiss in updating the ole website! Since last Summer, my work has continued with the awesome folks at Delicious as I have officially taken on the Community and Content management duties. You can check out my Delicious activities on my Delicious Profile. Other than that, Hank Huckle recently learned all about Rice Krispy Treats from a verified expert.

As of late, I've been having fun with the team that founded YouTube and their new, somewhat secret project called AVOS. AVOS recently purchased the social bookmarking site delicious.com, and is now planning fun things for the future. I've climbed aboard the consulting train and am happy to be contributing to the secret activities. And occasionally eating nuts from the well-stocked snack cabinet.

Apparently I have neglected to update this in a while. Lots of interesting things the last few months varying from a video for HP, more Hank Huckle episodes, a bunch of really interesting interviews about online education initiatives, and a visit to see brother Peter's play BOB premiere at the Humana festival.

Two more Hank Huckle episodes are live: Brussels Sprouts and Spicy Nuts!

The whole film, Welcome Space Brothers, is now up on YouTube for all to consume! Well, at least the film in six lovely to digest parts. Check it out here: Welcome Space Brothers

Just finished editing a short commercial for the Sonoma Valley Visitor's Bureau. Got to take a bunch of nice looking video of vineyards, picnics, and lovely tomatoes and reduce it down to a 30 second spot that showcased all the splendor of Sonoma County. Lot's of fun, and a nice reminder of how much fun it is to hang out in Sonoma.

A new Hank Huckle episode is live: Holiday punch!

I've been editing a few projects for TurnHere the last few weeks, one involving physics and a recent book about Stephen Hawking's latest theories about the universe. In addition, work is beginning on an exciting, top secret, production collective, CaravanSF. Stay tuned for more info...

Nerd alert! I've been researching and experimenting with software based PAL to NTSC video transfers, and have been trying to determine the best way to stream our feature film, Welcome Space Brothers, online for free. If anyone has any experience or thoughts about any of this, let me know!

Edited another little video for the folks at Betabrand with some footage they shot with the co-creators of their new stealth hoodie jacket. The video already has 43,000 views on the great and powerful YouTube.

For the last few weeks, I've been traveling for my good friends at Barrington Media and doing a bit of field producing and directing for a couple of video corporate profiles. These have consisted of CEO interviews, and lots of b-roll acquisition. I've been encouraged to do lots of dolly (a rolling camera platform) moves, so that has been fun. As has Cuban food in Florida, and succulent BBQ in Dallas.

One of the fun things about working with a great and adventurous company like Betabrand, is that they're up for just about anything. So, when they needed a quick product demo video for their new farmer's market bag, I decided that they deserved more than the traditional talking head product webcast. They needed a dose of North Korean magic!

Betabrand, via their popular newsletter, was able to point their rabid followers to the video as an example of the fantastic media coverage they got for their bag (The bag had previously been covered in Daily Candy, Gizmodo and the Huffington Post). And while the video is indeed a parody, it also happens to be a great demo of the bag's features.

Now, can anyone out there translate the Korean for us?
